Sonovis Imaging is a specialised ultrasound service providing a diverse range of ultrasound examinations. We utilize the latest technology and software innovation to serve the community to achieve better health outcomes for everyone.

We recognise the growing demand for ultrasound imaging. Our primary focus is to accommodate the healthcare needs of both patients and referrers. To achieve this, we collectively work as a team to strengthen existing and build new relationships with patients, referrers, specialists and other imaging centres.

Meet The Team

  • SONOGRAPHER / COMPANY DIRECTOR

    As Company Director and founder of Sonovis Imaging, Kathryn was inspired by her vision to provide a high-quality diagnostic ultrasound service to the Rural City of Murray Bridge and surrounding communities. Her commitment, passion and dedication to her professional career is the driving force behind the successful launch of the company.

    Comprising over 20 years’ experience in the healthcare industry, with over 16 years’ experience in the medical imaging sector. Kathryn graduated from the University of South Australia as a General Registered Nurse in 2002 and completed her Graduate Nursing Program at the Murray Bridge Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital in 2003. She was awarded a peer nominated ‘Best Team Member’ contribution at the ‘Hills Mallee Southern Regional Health Awards in 2005 and continued in her profession until 2007.

    Kathryn established strong professional relationships throughout her nursing career. This created a unique opportunity to undertake a Graduate Diploma in Medical Sonography and join the Medical Imaging department at Murray Bridge Hospital. Kathryn became an accredited Medical Sonographer graduating from the University of South Australia in 2010. She prides herself on applying practical skills and knowledge to deliver high performance and productivity in a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations. These include general, vascular, superficial parts, obstetrics, gynaecology, musculoskeletal and interventional procedures.

    Kathryn’s academic career continued in 2002 as a Student Assessor with the University of South Australia for the Post Graduate Program for sonography students. This opportunity rekindled her aspirations to initiate research with the focus to professionally educate others through means of higher education. She continues to explore the possibilities to undertake research and give back to her unique profession as a sonographer.

    Kathryn has worked collaboratively with various departments across multiple Murraylands Hospitals, Nursing Homes and local referring GP clinics. Kathryn genuinely understands the unique needs and lifestyles of country people and has incorporated these needs into providing an essential health care service that is accessible and affordable for all community members.

    Kathryn is locally born and bred and currently lives on a cattle property outside of Murray Bridge with her husband and two children. Her family are closely affiliated with the St Joseph’s School community and the Catholic Parish in Murray Bridge. Her family are also involved in various local sporting clubs including Imperial Football Club, Imperial Netball Club and Mypolonga Cricket Club.

    Kathryn enjoys spending time with her extended family and close friends. She also enjoys growing fruit and vegetables and shares a passion for germinating and planting trees on their family property. Kathryn and her family have enjoyed many remote family camping trips around Australia, something she looks forward to doing again in the future.

  • PRACTICE MANAGER

    As Practice Manager of Sonovis Imaging, Katrina was inspired to be part of the recently founded company as she was acutely aware of the increasing need for imaging services within the community. Along with the Sonovis Imaging company values, Katrina shared a vision to provide a high-quality diagnostic ultrasound service to the Rural City of Murray Bridge and surrounding districts. Katrina has been an integral part of the team in the recent formation of the company, forming relationships with local health organisations, IT support networks Australia wide and local businesses to help facilitate the smooth operation of Sonovis Imaging.

    Katrina has developed a diverse range of skills and knowledge in establishing patient management software and integrating radiology programs for the delivery of a professional service to the community and referring practitioners. With over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry, she brings valuable skills to the role of Practice Manager.

    Once a familiar face at the Medical Imaging Department at Murray Bridge Hospital, she became a highly regarded member of the team throughout her 14 years of service. During this time, she established a vast knowledge of health industry policies and procedures. She displays a passion for customer service along with her deep understanding of the unique needs of country consumers. Her most recent role has been in the mental health field, working for CAMHS to support young people in the community. Within this role she has had the opportunity to backfill in leadership roles and successfully gain a Certificate IV in Health & Business Administration, further enhancing her wide range of abilities.

    Katrina has always been local to the Murraylands region and currently lives in rural Rockleigh on the outskirts of Murray Bridge, on a small property with her husband and one of her two adult children. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading and taking care of her horses along with spending time with family and friends.
